Federal Agency on Education of Russian Federation, Russian Academy of Sciences, The City Administration of St.-Petersburg, St.-Petersburg branch of Non-governmental all of Russian organization Russian Union of Young scientists and Kalmar Municipality (Sweden), St.-Petersburg State Polytechnic University, University of Kalmar (Sweden) plan to hold from 26 till 28 June 2008 VII-th International Youth Environmental Forum of Baltic Region Countries "ECOBALTICA'2008".

International Youth Environmental Forum "ECOBALTICA" is directed to increase scientific level of young specialists-ecologists, to form ecological sense and establish close partner relations between institutes of higher education, research institutes, industrial companies and administrative bodies in Baltic Region. Scientific program of conferences will be realized at the plenary sittings and sessions, as well as with use of poster presentations.

Language
Working languages of the Forum are English and Russian.

Materials
Abstracts have to be sent by E-MAIL (both address: ecobaltica@narod.ru, ecobaltica@inbox.ru)
in English (for review facilities) and should not exceed 100 words except for title of paper (by heading letters), names of authors and place of their work or study with official address. The files should be in RTF format. In the topic (subject) of electronic letter there have to be obligatory pointed "surname, first name, name of conference, Forum "ECOBALTICA"".

The firms and enterprises of Baltic Region countries are invited to support participation of young researchers in the Forum, taking part in the exhibition of devices, production, facilities and presentations of technologies connected with environmental protection, which are to be held within the limits of Forum "ECOBALTICA".

Brief information about the Forum
International Youth Environmental Forum "ECOBALTICA" has already 10 years been regular scientific action, initiators of which are the young specialists of Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University. The Forums held in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006 years. Forums show a great significance of this action for establishment of productive contacts in the Baltic Sea Region, increase of professional level of young researchers and students, development of new joint research projects and business-contacts. In the work of "ECOBALTICA" traditionally take part not only young specialists, but well known scientists, representatives of enterprises and firms, administrative bodies of Baltic Region countries. Namely such unique composition of participants, as well as high scientific level and focus on practical realization of adopted decisions, render "ECOBALTICA" connecting event for all Baltic Region. Only for last years in the result of holding the Forum, there was organized and actively works Laboratory "Ecology of Baltic Region"; there was created (and periodically get renewed) the database of the best projects of young scientists in the area of environmental protection; there is carried out the work on restoration of the system of support of scientific creative work of young scientists-ecologists; there were established close scientific and business contacts with foreign partners.
